YORKSHIRE AIR AMBULANCE IS CHARITY OF THE YEAR
The volunteers for YAA have been fantastic with their support for our fundraising efforts and have become good friends.
We have the charity boxes by the tills, we will also hold our Christmas Bird draw again this year. We thank you in advance for all of your support.
We have come a long way since our launch at Tockwith Show back in 1999. What began as a group of six farmers working together to bring their produce direct to the public, is now a thriving farm shop, bakery, caterer... and farm.
To celebrate our 20 year anniversary, we are re-launching our original meat packs, available to order for collection from Ainsty Farm Shop or evening delivery to surrounding villages.

1kg joint beef, 650g minced beef, 8 sausages, family tray of stir fry,
4 chicken breasts, 4 pork steaks, family lasagne
Compact Meat Pack

4 pork sausages, 2 chicken breasts, 2 lamb & mint burgers

Thank you to everyone who took part in this years Christmas Bird Draw
The winner was Mr Ingall, who won his free range turkey, congratulations!
Our collecting tins for Yorkshire Air Ambulance are very heavy! We are waiting for them to be collected and we will display the total raised in the shop as soon as we know. In addition, since July we have been charging 5p each for plastic carrier bags and donating the money raised to YAA. This has been a very positive exercise, we have raised £100 for this brilliant cause but we have also used only a fifth of the plastic bags we needed previously.
Christmas Cards and Calendars
The sale of cards and calendars for St Leonard's Hospice in York raised £448.55. Thank you to everyone who bought them, they were lovely cards again this year. We will, of course, be selling them next Christmas.
We are looking forward to another busy year. We are currently working on the lambing shed before Laura's Wensleydale sheep lamb in March and our own flock of Suffolks & Mules lamb in April. We are also catering for lots of weddings and parties and will, of course, be busy baking, cooking and preparing lots of food in the shop.
We would like to say Happy New Year to all of our customers. Thank you for supporting us, for buying local and for caring where your food comes from.
Stuart, Lily and everyone at Ainsty Farm Shop
