The Coffee Shop

The coffee shop serves a hot lunch special every day, made with fresh produce from the shop, or light lunches, freshly baked cakes and scones, with tea, coffee or cold drinks.

Ainsty Farm Shop has a lovely choice of hot drinks for its customers.  Espresso, latte, cappuccino and macchiato are on offer, along with a smooth Kenyan filter coffee.  The tea served is, of course, Yorkshire Tea but Earl Grey, Lemon and Ginger, Green Tea and other flavours are offered.  A special in the coffee shop is a Special Hot Chocolate, made with hot milk and stirred with a chocolate stick from Choc-affair near York.  The chocolate sticks are also on sale in the shop for customers who wish to enjoy this special treat at home!

Cold drinks are offered, including lemonade, fruit juice and cartons of Ribena – always popular with younger customers.

The hot lunch special varies from day to day but is always made from the best the farm shop has to offer.  Previous lunches have been freshly baked quiche, served with new potatoes and vegetables, home made cottage pie and pork casserole to name a few.  The regular menu includes ploughman’s lunch, a range of salads, hot toasties and sandwiches served on white or brown bread, a choice of award winning pies and every day, Yorkshire Provender Co soup is offered with a freshly baked roll and butter.

Katri makes all the cakes in the bakery for the coffee shop and there is always a good choice of flavours to choose from.  Freshly baked scones served with jam and hot toasted teacakes complete this delicious menu.
