Meat

Ainsty Farm Shop at Green Hammerton near York specialises in traditionally reared, locally produced meat.  The beef, pork and lamb are from family farms who rear their livestock with high welfare standards and using natural feed to bring out the best in the finished animal.

 

The livestock is taken to local abattoirs before being brought back to Ainsty Farm Shop where it is hung in the purpose built coldroom until it is matured for perfect flavour.  The meat is then butchered in Ainsty’s butchery department and cut to customers’ individual requirements.  The shop also sells a range of local game, including venison, pheasant and rabbit.
